Day-1 Arrive at Velavadar Arrive at Ahmedabad and proceed to Velavadar (145 kms - 3 hrs). Time permitting visit Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary enroute before reaching Velavadar. Velavadar lies on the Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar highway and renowned for its population of Blackbucks. Prominent birds around the area comprise Sandgrouse, harrier roost, lesser florican and larks.
Day-2 Travel to Diu via Palitana Travel to Diu (250 kms - 5 hrs) via Palitana. Palitana is a major pilgrimage destination and renowned for the temple complex (800+ Jain Temples) set on Shatrunjaya Hill that requires one to take 3000 steps to climb up the hills. Reach Diu by late evening. Diu, an erstwhile Portuguese Colony and now a popular beach getaway. Evening visit to the Nagoa beach.
Day-3 Sightseeing and activities around Diu Sightseeing around Diu includes Nagoa Beach, St. Pauls Church, Diu Museum, Diu Fort. Watersports include Para Sailing, water skiing, water scooter, Family boat and speedboats are on offer at Ahmadpur Mandvi beach.
Day-4 Travel to Sasan Gir via Somnath. Evening Safari in Sasan Gir. Proceed to Sasan Gir (150 kms - 3.5 hrs) Via Somnath (Jyotirlinga Shiva Temple and a renowned pilgrimage destination offering excellent views of the Arabian Sea). Sasan Gir is only abode of Asiatic Lions and considered excellent for bird watching. The park checklist has 250 birds and about 50 other species (including the endangered lesser florican and the saras crane) are recorded in the grasslands along the perifery of the sanctuary. Day-5 Morning and Evening Safari at Sasan Gir Sasan Gir has number of areas / wetlands that offer excellent Bird watching opportuniteis. Undertake safaris (morning and evening) for exploring different areas of the park. Kamleshwar Dams are home to Crocodiles. Lion sighting is generally good all through the year.
Day-6 Departure Departure to Rajkot (160 kms - 3 hours) and proceed to onward journey.

Velavadar - 130 kms from Ahmedabad, Velavadar is home to the largest concentration of Black Bucks in the world.
Diu - Diu is visited for its secluded and peaceful beaches and a popular weekend getaway ex-Ahmedabad (400 km) or Bhavnagar (225 km) or Rajkot (300 km)
Sasan Gir - Sasan Gir is the only place where Asitic Lions are found in the wild. Sasan Gir is also a popular option for spotting migratory birds (in Winter) and Crocodiles.
