Shamlaji is a renowned Krishna temple on Gujarat – Rajasthan border on Ahmedabad – Udaipur route (122 kms from Ahmedabad). The Shamlaji Fair is held at Shamlaji Temple, and lasts for about three weeks. Around 200,000 pilgrims attend the fair from districts around Shamlaji. The Fair is extremely significant for the tribal Bhil community.

The Shamlaji Fair also where people engage in buying silver ornaments, metal ware, cloth and garments and many other household items.
