The tribal festival is celebrated by the tribes of Kanker and Bastar regions from December to March every year.

In December, celebrations start in Bastar to honour the goddess Kesharpal Kesharpalin Devi. The festival marches from one place of the state to another. The people of Bhanupratappur, Kondagaon, Narayanpur and Antagarh celebrate the festival. This is a festival although ethnic to the natives of Bustar, and people of the Kurna and the Charama communities of the Kanker district.

The festival starts with a procession of the local Goddess, followed by worship of the same, culminating in cultural programmes, dancing and lots of good food.
