Kundri Mela

Festival | Cattle Fair

The Kundri Fair or the Kundri Mela is a cattle fair celebrated in the day of Kartik Purnima. Vendors gather to buy or sell cattle.

It is believed that the Kundri Mela originated in the year 1930, way before India became independent and much before Jharkhand became a separate state.

Apart from Kundri Fair, a lot of other cattle fairs are frequently organised in the state.
