I want to stay at a Hotel but cannot find online availability?

Try our offline reservation. email to reserve@nivalink.co.in with hotel name, date of check-in and any other details (such as arrival details) or call (during regular work hours - 9:30 AM to 6 PM Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM to 2 PM Saturday. Our reservation assistants will be pleased to check availabilities with the hotel, suggest applicable tariff and upon your approval of the tariff undertake reservation on your behalf. Online availabilities are based on pre-booked hotel rooms and even these pre-booked rooms are exhausted, hotels may have more rooms that are available and can be booked via their front desk reservations.

I am a corporate traveller and want to make payments direct with the hotel ?

Online reservations requires pre-payments. So Try our offline reservation. email to reserve@nivalink.co.in with hotel name, date of check-in and any other details (such as arrival details) or call (during regular work hours - 9:30 AM to 6 PM Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM to 2 PM Saturday. Our reservation assistants will be pleased to check availabilities with the hotel, suggest applicable tariff and upon your approval of the tariff undertake reservation on your behalf. Please note that only pure business hotels and that too in selected cases allow for a direct reservations, otherwise 1 night deposit or credit card details are required to guarantee a reservation.


Are Online rates always lower than Offline Best rates?

Yes. In most cases. Online system displays pre-purchase tariffs which are typically lower than the regular tariffs. However as Online and Offline tariffs originate from different reservation systems, there may be some cases where Nivalink has a better rate contracted for offline reservations.

Which credit cards are accepted for Online Reservation?

All Mastercard / Visa cards are accepted in theory. However payment gateway assesses risk from time to time and issuing banks also put conditional restrictions on use of cards. So our observation is that 90% of all cards work and give a successful transaction. Balance 10% have to either take a relook at their card limit or speak to the issuing bank to release some of the restrictions placed and try again.

We accept International and Domestic Cards. International Cards are subject to stringent verification and security processes. So further verifications may be required even after a successful transaction.

Is Online Reservation Secure?

Online Reservation is now widely accepted as the safest mode of transferring payments and securing reservations. The credit card details are accepted and processed online using high level of encryption and without any human intervention. At no point the card details are stored anywhere accept with issuing bank servers and therefore its not possible to access it for fraudulent use at a later date. Most credit card frauds happen on account of credit card details stolen from offline sources like restaurants, malls etc. and then processed online.

Is there an option where one does not want to pay by credit card but still wants to avail pre-purchase tariffs?

Yes.  You may contact the reservation agent, deposit payment in as per one of the options and then have the reservation agent make reservations for you. Here the only issue is that in the event of rooms getting booked online by someone else in the mean while, reservation agent will be unable to do the reservations and you will have to opt for another option and will have to pay or will receive the difference amount in case its applicable.

Can I do my hotel bookings online and still call up for other related services such as Transport, Guide Service etc. booked offline?

Can I book my long stay online (1 week or more)?

Yes based on availability. However full payment for entire stay has to be paid for the same. In the event its not available online, it would be a good idea to check off line. Hotels may be able to adjust other reservations to accommodate a long stay request. 

Can I book my group reservations online (5 rooms or more)?

Group reservations always come with some level of customization, which is not possible under online reservation environment. 

In planning an itinerary, some hotels may have an online option and others don?t have one. Can one do mix and match?

Online Room Inventories can only be booked against payment. So when the itinerary is final, rooms are still available then they can be booked to get the best available online rates. Transport and flights if any will have to be looked separately as an offline function. However this has to be done in co-ordination with the itinerary team to ensure that offline reservations are secured for you.

After making the reservation if I need to book any additional services such as pickups etc. whom should one speak to?

If my payment is done successfully online and receive a confirmation should I assume that the reservation is confirmed?

Yes.  A confirmation printout is all you need to carry. The payment goes through a multi-level security scan. In case of any discrepancy in use of the card, you will receive verification calls on the telephone number listed at the time of making the reservation.

How do I Identify Charge on my Credit Card?

Online Reservations are done using Makemytrip.com backend and therefore will have name of the Makemytrip.com on the credit card statement.

Whom Should I call for a cancellation?

There will be a help line number listed on the confirmation and you will need to make a call to intimate the same. You will need to provide booking confirmation number at the time of making the cancellation.

Whom Should I call for refunds?

Cancellations and refunds would be done within three weeks of the cancellation after deducting cancellation charges as mentioned in the confirmation note.

Why does Nivalink listing does not have all hotels in a sector / City that are in the Online reservation listing?

Nivalink reviews sectors, hotels on a periodic basis. All hotels listed on Nivalink are reviewed and found suitable for sending guests. Guests still need to look at hotels, standard, concept, classification, location etc. before making the final decision. However basics like cleanliness and authenticity of the hotel is implicitly assured.

So hotels missing in the Nivalink listing are either new ones that have come up recently and are waiting to be reviewed or ones that have not been found suitable after a review. Some of these hotels will still show up in the online reservation listings (Online Reservation Engine has different review criteria as compared to Nivalink's own) and user discretion on these hotels is advised.

Online Reservation Engine for the benefit of the guest provides guest reviews which will help you make up your mind.
