    Simhachalam temple is a Lord Narsimha temple located near Visakhapatnam. The temple is a mix of Orissan and Dravidian styles of architecture. It is one of the eighteen "Naarasimha Kshetras" i.e. shrines of Lord Narasimha in India. Simhachalam temple is known as the second richest temple in India (after Tirupati). The carved 16-pillared Natya mandapa and the 96-pillared Kalyana mandapa are highlights of the temple.

    Bavikonda is an important Buddhist heritage site located on a hill about 15 km, northeast from Visakhapatnam city. Here the Buddhist habitation is noticed on a 16 ha flat terraced area. The Hinayana school of Buddhism was practiced at the monastery between the 3rd century B.C. and the 3rd century A.D. Bavikonda has remains of an entire Buddhist complex, comprising 26 structures belonging to three phases. A piece of bone stored in an urn recovered here is believed to belong to the mortal remains of the Budda.

    Victory at Sea War Memorial was built in the year 1996 to commemorate the Victory of Indian Navys Eastern Naval Command(ENC). The memorial is also known as Victory at Sea. War materials like fighter planes, missiles, few bombs and tanks are displayed to the public.
    Kondakarla Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary at 40 kms from Vishakhapatnam having a rich variety of bird species. The area is recommended for Bird watchers in Winter.
