    Listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Goreme Open Air Museum is a must visit sight in Cappadocia. The museum was originally an important Byzantine monastic settlement. The museum complex is home to many such small monasteries located side by side each home to its own unique church. The museum has some beautiful rock-cut churches that are adorned with colourful frescoes.

    Pigeon Valley is a small valley located between Goreme and Uchisar. The valley derives its name from the thousands of pigeonholes that have been carved into the rock surfaces since historic times. The pigeon valley has some good walking and hiking trails. The Red Valley is a beautiful valley famous for hiking.

    The UNESCO World Heritage listed Uchisar Castle is located on a hill in Uchisar village, the highest point in Cappadocia. The Uchisar Castle is not only famous for its unique rock-like structure but also for the fantastic panoramic views of the rocky lunar surroundings. Throughout its history, the castle served as the centre of defence for Cappadocia. It takes about 120 steps to reach the top of the castle.

    Devrent Valley, also known as the 'Valley of Imagination' is famous for its extraordinary lunar landscape. The valley is famous for its red coloured unique rock formations. If you use your imagination, you can see a resemblance to many animals in these stunning rock formations. One of the most rock formations looks like Virgin Mary holding Jesus Christ.

    Pashabagi is a popular valley in Cappadocia region renowned for its rock pillar like formations often called fairy chimneys. Pashabagi is home to some of the most interesting fairy chimneys in Cappadocia, including some with triple rock caps. The valley is also called as the Monks Valley because Christian monks used to locate their churches and hermit cells in these rocky pillars. The hermitage of the Simeon monks is also believed to be located here.

    Kaymakli Underground City Tour explores the most famous underground city in Cappadocia, Kaymakli. Kaymakli is listed under the UNESCO World Heritage List and is well protected and preserved site. The history of this magical underground city dates back to 3000 BC. The city was carved on soft volcanic rocks around underground tunnels for security reasons.

    Avanos is town in Cappadocia located on the banks of Kizilirmak River famous for its pottery. The red clay found on the riverbank when missed with a white, mountain mud variety is believed to be excellent for traditional pottery.
