Ladakh is a Union Territory in North India having destinations at altitudes of 9000 to 15000 ft asl. Ladakh is home to diverse range of birds and Wildlife. IBEX, Blue Sheep, Marmot, Tibetan Wild Ass, Tibetan Antelopes, Bharal (Blue Sheep), Palla's Cat, Snow Fox are some of the species for which Photographers look for in Ladakh.
Ladakh is also a Winter Destination for Wildlife travellers arriving specifically to Photograph Snow Leopards. There are lodges that specialise in this area.
June – Sept is the best time to arrive for general Wildlife Photography and Winter (Jan-March) is where you arrive for Snow Leopards.
