Ladakh is a region in North East of state of Jammu and Kashmir having destinations at altitudes of 9000 to 15000 ft asl.

Ladakh is home to diverse range of birds and Wildlife. IBEX, Blue Sheep, Marmot, Tibetan Wild Ass, Tibetan Antelopes are some of the species that are seen in Wildlife. Snow Leapord is there but rarely spotted. Bacterian Camels are common and are domesticated.

Ladakh is not the kind of place where a wildlife photographer would do a trip but photographers arriving for Bird photography and general panorama are able add wildlife to their collection

June – Sept is the best time to arrive for Wildlife Photography as all regions are accessible and weather is at its best. Nubra Valley is the best area where a lot of the above species are sighted.
