Kalasubai Harischandragad Wildlife Sanctuary near Bhandardara is home to wide ranging wildlife, birds, repliles and butterflies.

Wildlife sighted here include Palm civet, Wolf, Jackal, Barking Deer, Leopard, Mongoose, Jungle cat, Wild Boar, Hyena, Bats, Porcupine, etc.

The reptile group includes Fan-Throated Lizard, Monitor Lizard, Turtles, snakes and many more.

Birds spotted here are mainly common hill and grassland birds such as Kingfishers, raptors, Barbets and Shrikes. One can also spot waterbirds such as White Necked Stork, Black Ibis, Purple & Pond Heron, Cattle, Little & Large Egrets, Little & Large Cormorants and Water hens.

The area is also visited for wide ranging beetles, small colourful insects and butterflies.
