Trekking in Bashleo Pass - Travel Idea for Shoja
Bashleo Pass is a mountain pass at an altitude of 10000 ft asl around Banjar Valley and Great Himalayan National Park near Shoja. Banjar Valley abounds in natural beauty and is renowned for trekking and overnight camping.
Typically guests on a road journey pass the area via Jalori Pass whereas trekkers cross over using Bashleo Pass. Bashleo Pass connects Banjar Valley areas (Shoja, Banjar, Tirthan Valley) to the other side from where destinations such as Thanedar can be accessed. Level of difficulty is moderate almost all through.
From here, one can view the Mahadev range and the trail down to the Beas Valley. This region's unique features include biodiversity, sparse human populations, little tourism, and a local economy based on traditional livelihoods.
Bashleo Pass is best done as part a scheduled camp departure. Countryside organizes Summer treks to Bashleo Pass in April. Customised groups for Schools, trek groups and corporates can be organized in and around Bashleo Pass.
