Singapore
Singapore Zoo and Night Safari are part of the same complex in the eastern part of Singapore. Singapore Zoo and Night Safari are not in close proximity to any of the areas of accommodation but at best a 30-minute drive from farthest point.
Singapore Zoo is considered one of the most organised in Asia and therefore a major draw for families. Besides being home to a wide variety of species, Singapore Zoo also hosts many shows all through the day which keeps kids and as well as elders enthralled.
There are small buses that lets guests move around (for those who do not wish to walk around). For the physically challenged and elderly guests, a battery operated wheel chair can be rented.
The Animals are comfortably housed in an enclosure that resembles their natural habitat. Even so one finds them at an incredibly close range. Its an incredible feeling to have a Cheetah two feet away (separated by a glass off course).
Night Safari is one that is fun as well as offers thrills of being close to wildlife by the night. Guests have option to take walks, get entertained with different shows or take a short train ride where one see a variety of wildlife resting or grazing by the night.
Entry fee to the Zoo and night safari are separate and both represent different concepts. Zoo is a day activity starting 10 AM, where as night safari starts 7 PM. for sake of saving time, It may make good sense to arrive after noon, spend a few hours in the Zoo and then wait another hour before moving onto night safari.
There are ample unique paid photo opportunities at both Zoo and night safaris. You can take a photo of you holding a snake or feeding an animal or taking a short elephant ride. All adds to the fun and excitement.
