Sariska accessible from Delhi (200 kms) is a popular ex-Delhi Getaway. Sariska used to be home to many Tigers till 2005, when the authorities first discovered that poaches have completely taken out the entire Tiger population. Park has dropped in popularity ever since. Tigers were reintroduced couple of years later and its still to recover back to a healthy population. Other animals include the sambar, chital, wild boar, hare, nilgai and porcupines.

The bird-life comprises of the pea fowl, gray partridge, quail, sand grouse, tree pie, white breasted kingfisher, golden - backed woodpecker, crested serpent eagle and great Indian horned owl.

Open - Jeep Safaris can be Provided by the lodges / hotels here. Park Remains Closed from 1st July to 30th Sept.

Best season to arrive is Oct-March as it can get a bit dry and hot in April, May.
