Sutlej Basin in Himachal Pradesh lies 35 kms from Shimla. Sutlej basin lies 35 kms fron Shimla below Narkanda (62 kms from Shima) provides opportunity for rafting during April to June Season.

There are two stretches here:

Grade II rapids are between Chabba (18 kms from Naldehra) and Tattapani, a 14 km course. It takes about one to one-and-a-half hour to cover the distance.

Grade IV rapids are between Pandowa to Tattapani, which is a 36 km course. It takes about three and half hours to cover the distance.

Recommended for adventure centric group travelers to Nakanda, Naldehra, Fagu, Mashobra and Kufri.
