Pachmarhi (3000+ ft asl) is one of the two hill stations of Madhya Pradesh and the most visited. Situated on a large plateau of Satpura ranges, Pachmarhi is an all season destination and popular for honeymooners and getaway seekers.

Pachmarhi has temples, lake with boating, trekking, waterfalls and excursion options where a guest can easily spend 3-4 days.

Pachmarhi has a rich colonial heritage and most hotels wear a colonial heritage look. There is a ban on new contruction of Hotels in Pachmarhi and that has ensured that off-beat / laidback charm of Pachmarhi remains the same and does not get spoilt like colonial hill stations elsewhere in India.

Pachmarhi is also an excellent “do nothing” destinations. Its also kind of place for senior citizen groups to arrive to spend a few days in nice rejuvenating weather, do some walks and generally enjoy some quiet time.

A Pachmarhi travel is typically bottlenecked by train reservations (Via Pipariya) or availability (Limited hotels), therefore early planning and reservation at least 3 months in advance during season period is recommended.

Recommended Stay duration: 3-4 nights Seasonality: Holiday Season (Long Weekends, Deewali, Christmas, Summer)
