Nairobi National Park is located 7 kms from Nairobi and is often referred as the Rhinoceros Sanctuary for being most successful Rhinoceros Sanctuary in Kenya.
The park is relatively smaller (about 110 sq kms) but is home to a diverse wildlife population. One can sight African buffalo, black rhinoceros, Burchell's zebra, Cheetah, Coke's hartebeest, Grant's gazelle, hippopotamus, leopard, lion, Thomson's gazelle, eland, impala, Masai giraffe, ostrich, vulture etc
The park is a base for injured or ill elephant and rhinoceros calves which are later release in the bigger parks are rehabilitation.
Nairobi National Park is popular for guests not visiting any of the parks and is recommended for any wildlife traveler arriving in Kenya.
