Madurai is one of the busiest city of Tamilnadu and mainly visited for the Meenakshi Temple complex, a must visit for any traveler especially heritage traveler and Hindu Pilgrim traveler.

However there is more to Madurai than Meenakshi Temple complex. Puttuthoppu and Chellathamman koil is another heritage temple around which is significant and is associated with mythologies around Lord Shiva.
