Lansdowne (2000+ ft asl) is an off-beat hamlet on the Rishikesh - Corbett Route at 200+ kms from Delhi and 40+ kms from Kotdwara (nearest railhead). The town has a colonial era influence and excellent for a nature centric getaway experience.

Sightseeing - The War Memorial at the Parade Ground of the Garhwal Rifles Center is an attraction for the visitors. Places of interest around the city are Tip-n-Top (View point), Santoshi Mata Temple, Regimental Museum, Bhulla Taal, St. Mary's Church, Lover's lane.
Festival - Annual ‘Sharadotsav’ (Festival of Autumn) is also organized at this hill station during autumn season.
Excursions - Tarkeshwar Temple (33 kms). Bhairav Garhi temple. Durga Devi Temple and Jwalpa Devi, on the Pauri-Kotdwar road are just 24 km and 47 km away respectively. Durga Devi Temple is one of the oldest Sidhpeeths in India.
Activities / Adventure - Walks, Bird Watching. More than 400 species of birds are found in and around Lansdowne. There are several soft trekking routes which can be pursued with Lansdowne as a base.
