Horseback riding is a great way to discover rural India and experience Rajasthan in a very authentic Rajput style. There are various horse safaris conducted for the visitors around Udaipur to explore the villages around the area.

Ravla Khempur, Karni Fort and couple of heritage resorts offer horse safaris to guests. These rides take place before the backdrop of the Aravalli range, as the terrain is hilly till mountainous with a varied thickness of vegetation. In the beginning the trail leads through small mountain villages where traditional farming is still practiced, but as the riders penetrate deeper into the mountains, human habitation becomes scarce. Finally leads to the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary to view the wide variety of birds and animals as well as admire virgin dry deciduous forest.

These safaris can be as short as 2.5 hours to 1 day or can be long safaris ranging from 3 to 10 days or more. Accommodation during overnight stay is also arranged during long safaris.

Seasonality: October to March  Recommended Duration: 1-5 days
