Harike Wetlands

Harike Wetlands is accessed from Amritsar or Jallandhar. Hari-Ke-Pattan as its popularly called is also home to a Bird Sanctuary where more than 200 species of birds, resident as well as migratory have been recorded. Harike Wetlands is one of the Ramsar sites among the 21 sites listed under India.

Harike Wetlands also recorded a rare sighting of Indus Dolphins, an endangered specie found in Indus river down stream in Pakistan.
