Union territory of Diu is a small beach getaway in Southern part of Saurashtra (Part of North West Gujarat) and an erstwhile Portuguese colony sporting idyllic beaches and some Portuguese churches and other monuments.
Being a union territory Diu has no restriction on alcohol consumption as against neighboring Gujarat state which has alcohol prohibition. This fact makes it a very popular getaway as guests from neighboring areas of Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Veraval, Junagadh and Even Ahmedabad hop in for a weekend getaway.
