Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary is situated 12 kms from Hospet near Kamlapur. Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary is home to many free ranging sloth bears. You can enjoy a session of 'bear watching' from the watchtower perched atop a hillock.
The sanctuary is also home to hyenas, wild boars, black-naped hares, pangolins, porcupines, jackals and leopards. The 8 Km drive through the forest presents an opportunity to sight several species of birds including endemic species like painted spur fowl and yellow-throated bulbuls and dry land specialties like sand grouse, quails, sirkeer malkohas and stone-curlews. Peafowl are aplenty.

Season - July to March is conducive for outdoors and also a good time for sighting wildlife. Sloth bears can be sighted all-year through even through summer months when heat can be oppressive.
