Chiplun falls about 250 kms from Mumbai / Pune on the Mumbai-Goa highway (NH –17) and a popular getaway. Chiplun lies along the banks of the Vashishti River and is a mid-way on the Mumbai-Goa coastal highway (NH-17) route.
Around Chiplun guests can visit a number of local pilgrimage centers:
* Rare Parshuram Temple, considered as the 6th incarnation of lord Vishnu, Chiplun means "The abode of Lord Parshurama".
* Guhagar is a beach front at 42 kms away. Velneshwar (Shiva temple), Vyadeshwar (Shiva) and Hedvi (Ganesh) are home to significant temples.
Ganapatipule Temple (100 kms) is a very popular pilgrim getaway. Enroute guests can visit Sangameshwar and Marleshwar Shiva Temple.
