Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 50 kms from Bhopal near Obaidullagunj. Ratapani reserve forest area is spread over a large area and is home to a number of predators including Tiger and Leopards.

The sanctuary however is not well known for its tiger sighting and is a good base point for migratory bird watching. Some of the prominent birds include Magpie Robin, Indian Robin, Spotted Dove, Ringed Dove, Little Brown Dove, White Spotted Fantailed Flycatcher, Paradise Flycatcher, Crimson Breasted Barbet etc.

Bhimbhetka UNESCO world heritage cave shelters are also accessible from here. Jungle Camp Delawadi is a simple MP Tourism hotel that doubles up as a nature centric local getaway.

Ratapani Range Retreat is a getaway retreat spread over 50 kms from where Ratapani Wildlife sanctuary can be accessed.
