Cherrapunjee is situated at 56 kms from Shillong (Capital of Meghalaya at 150 kms from Guwahati) and is known for rainforest experience. It’s the only place in the world where a unique phenomenon of living root bridges can be experienced.
 
There are more than 200 species found here, migratory as well as resident. The species found here are different from elsewhere found in India and that's what makes it unique. Migratory birds here arrive from higher Himalayas, Tibet, China or even Siberia for winter nesting. 
 
Waterfalls, Living root bridges, trekking makes Cherrapunjee a completely experiential experience.
