Beaches in Kerala - Marari, Varkala, Kovalam, Bekal
Kerala is blessed with beaches that are good for swimming and offer another dimension to the Kerala experience.
Fisherman Village - Marari is an archetypical fisherman village and a beach. Guests like to swim here and spend a quiet time, especially as they always have an option to either to hop to Cochin (50-75 kms) or the nearby backwaters (15 kms).
Idyllic Beaches with culture and heritage - North Kerala, area north of Calicut and South of Mangalore has a number of idyllic beaches where there are Homestays around Kannur / Bekal area and destination resorts around Bekal / Nileshwar area.
Beach Holiday Resort - Varkala and Kovalam are two different but typical beach holiday options around Trivandrum. While Varkala has more "small resort" and "Mid-segnent" options and is smaller in area with hotels concentrated around the Cliff area, Kovalam has its share of both luxury destination resorts and mid-segment resorts spread over Samudra, Ashoka, Hawa, Lighthouse, Chowara and Mulloor beach areas.
Beach Getaways – Cherai (near Cochin) and Kappad (near Calicut) have evolved as local getaways and have a number of getaway resorts around it that offer guests mix of good views and getaway resort style hospitality / facility / amenities.
