Badrinath is a Lord Vishnu temple and the most visited Char Dham (Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are the four pilgrimage destinations in Uttarakhand state popularly known as the Char Dhams). Badrinath is situated at about 280 kms from Rishikesh. Access to Badrinath is restricted during particular timings, therefore guests stay at Joshimath (30 kms) overnight before approaching Badrinath next morning.
 
Badrinath is visited during May-October period and opening and closing date varies every year depending on the snow cover. Area around Badrinath is blessed with exceptional Himalayan beauty and is recommended for any nature lover.
