Page 1 where you enter e-mail id and Name and amount is a non secure page and so do not enter any credit card details here.

Page 2 is a reconfirmation page. Just enter. 
If the browser asks if you need to go to a secure page Press "Yes"

Page 3 is a secure page of CCAvenue (128 bit encrypted) where you enter information related to your credit card and after rechecking the details click ok. 

Note: 

  • Please enter all details (Billing address) correctly. If incorrect details are given, Security Systems employed may not clear a transaction and you will then be required to do Manual authentication even if Credit Card No and expiry date entered were correct.

Page 4 : Since 1st Aug 2009, There is additional authorization all cardholders have to go through which may depend on the issuing bank. e.g. Visa card holders may have to put in their "Verified by Visa" authentication details or may just be asked their date of birth. All issuing banks have process listed on their website for registering and availing this additional information.

REASONS FOR FLAGGING A TRANSACTION - Some transaction that originate from certain marked countries or are of higher values (Typically more than USD 1000) or when the card is processed from a country other than that of the card issue, the guest is required to submit a scanned copy of the passport and scanned copy of the last credit card account statement as additional verification measure. This is an additional security measure to guard against use of stolen cards and credit card frauds. If these details are not provided then even if the transaction is successful, Nivalink will be unable to claim it and Nivalink will have to cancel the same. 

REASONS FOR PAYMENT FAILURES

Besides Unavailable sufficient Credit there are many reasons why a payment can be unsuccessful.

If status was "Bank Declined Transaction" then it is due to Common mistakes which are:

* Spaces in Card number (No spaces in card no - 16 digit)
* Incorrect Expiry month/year
* Incorrect CV no
* Incorrect Card selection (Mastercard / Visa)

* Spelling Errors in Card Name

However some credit cards are not authorised beyond a certain value for Internet transactions. Also Some credit cards have "automatic safety feature" that blocks the Internet transaction. 

In this case only the credit card issuer bank can help. ."Automatic safety feature" can be relaxed for 24 hours within which transactions can be carried out.

HOW DO I GET REFUNDS IN CASE OF CANCELLATIONS / CURTAILMENTS : You will get credit in your card once the refunds are approved. There are no extra charges involved here. There is a limit of 120 days from the date of transaction within which refunds can be made. Thereafter refunds will have to be made by alternative means and 5.6% deduction applicable for the same.
