Wild
Mahaseer is a Colonial Plantation Bungalow in Addabari
(Assam, India). This property is a historic
one characterized by its Victorian architecture and has spacious rooms across
four individual bungalows. Bungalows
have been redecorated the old place, and changed the furniture and furnishings;
most importantly, a new kitchen has been added to cater to the taste buds of tired
and famished tourists. Artefacts collected from across the world adorn the place. The
accommodation is located on 22 acres of tropical land surrounded by tea gardens
and the land has been bestowed with a wide variety of trees, plants, flowers,
insects and birds. According to hearsay the Balipara tea estate was established
by the British Assam Tea Company sometime around 1875. Accommodation
here comprise 4 independent bungalows with 12 rooms and suites with individually
attached bathrooms. The
Kaziranga National Park is just an hour from
Addabari. For wildlife enthusiasts, there can be no better viewing spot for rhinos
and wild elephants than this park, which is a World Heritage site. Even the Nameri
Game Park is not far away. All these make Addabari an ideal tourist destination. Wild
Mahaseer caters to the fishing enthusiast interested in Golden Mahaseer found
in the area on the Banks of Brahmaputra River. Wild Mahaseer is equipped with
fast and still water fishing gear. Currently,
with prior notice this can be arranged on hire. Arrangements with the Nameri National
Park for angling and river rafting on the Bhorelli river can be organized. Additionally,
visits to other rivers including the Brahmaputra can be organized. Other
attractions on request include yoga, Buddhist tantric meditation and relaxation

Mahseer is 20 minutes drive from Tezpur airport and most of the journey is on
the road towards Tawang, Bomdila in Arunachal. -
Wild
Mahseer is 30 minutes away from Nameri National Park and is best suited for fishing
and river rafting in the Bhorelli. -
The
distance to Bagori range in Kaziranga is between 75 and 90 minutes and visits
to Kaziranga are organized. In addition, we also are between 60 and 75 minutes
away from Orang National Park . |
