Kanha
National Park is known to be a little bit of Eden trapped in a
horseshoe - shaped valley. It is a Dense wooded forest
interspersed with grassy greenlands and teeming with some of
the best species of wildlife in Asia's largest national park.
Kanha
is one of the largest tiger reserves 1945 sq. kms of lush
countryside situated at an altitude of 450 to 950 m. Kanha,
the only habitat in the world of the hard ground swamp deer.
To add to it there are wild boar, gaur and a host of other
animals including leopards and tigers. One can also catch
sight of the wild dog (dhole) in the mating season or when it
hunts in packs.
Wild
Chalet Resort is located right at the edge of the park and
is host to tourists from all over the world right through the
season.
