Royal Oasis and The Residency is located at Wankaner (Gujarat, India), 53 kms from Rajkot.

The Royal Residency
The Royal Residency (Khengar Bhavan) built adjoining the Palace was established in 1882 as the residency of the British Resident in the ruler's minority

Recently augmented and renovated, this late colonial style building offers the royal guests a choice of 12 authentically maintained suites with fine views - all representative of a bygone era.

Each of these suites are named after different ruling princes, a viceroy, the Duke of Connaught, jeweller Jacques Cartier, Mahatma Gandhi's father and the first Governor-general of India, all of whom have been friends of the Wankaner Royal Family.

The Royal Oasis
Beautifully nestled on the banks of River Machhu. the Motiwadi Royal Oasis was started in 1875 but most of it was built between 1930 to 1940 in the famous art-deco style.

Once a retreat for the royals from the scorching summer sun, the Motiwadi provides cool watery comfort for its guests.

The 12 luxurious suites are jewels in the crown making it an ideal holiday destination for those who wish to experience nostalgie of byegone regal grandeur.

Situated in an orchard it has the unique attraction of the only "Vaav" (step-well) built in the 20th century. Exquisitely carved it has 3 storeys underground with fountains. It is ideal for spending a summer afternoon in a romantic honey-moon atmosphere and the experience is completed with a dip in the spacious indoor art-deco swimming pool.
