There are very good chances of rainfall around this time. Flowers bloom in
this period, so guests are requested to come be prepared for some showers. Raincoat or an umbrella
is a must.

Delhi - Haridwar
Overnight
train - (In
Case of non - availability for overnight trains. Arrive the earlier day
and stay at Haridwar overnight at extra cost)

1:
Haridwar
– Jayalgarh

Auli
- Arrive
Haridwar (From Delhi Travel by overnight train, transferred by road to
Jayalgarh (115 kms/3.5hrs drive) for Breakfast. Drive
to Auli, arrive at Himalayan Eco Lodge, Auli (175kms/05hrs). Rest of the
day at leisure to explore Auli. Overnight at Himalayan Eco Lodge, Auli.
Day 2: Auli
- Govindghat
– Ghangharia

- Early
morning drive for about 40-60 minutes to Govindghat, start the trek by crossing the river Alaknanda over a bridge at Govindghat
and from there walk towards the Bhyundar valley through forest area and
a few villages. There are numerous waterfalls and lush green
landscape all around. The gradient of the trail is moderate. The
14 kms trek to reach Ghangharia takes about 4-5 hrs, one can also hire a
mule to reach Ghangharia. Overnight in Camp
Valley of Flowers at Ghangharia.
Day 3: Ghangharia
– Valley
of Flowers (3658 m / 12000 ft)
– Ghangharia
- Short
ascent to the valley. Gradient is moderate and the landscape
soothing to the eye. It will take about a couple of hours to reach the
valley. There are unending meadows laden with varieties of alpine flowers,
network of streams and big mountains all around. The prominent species are
Braham Kamal, Anemone, Geranium, Marsh Marigold, Prinula, Lilium,
Potentilla, Ranunculus, Inula, Corydalis, Pedicularis, Arisaema, Ligularia,
Morina, Impatiens, Saxifrages Bistorta, Anaphalis, Sibbaldia. Can spend
3-4 hrs exploring different corners & vantage points of the valley and
towards late afternoon retrace steps to Ghangharia. Total
trekking time would be about 04 hrs. Overnight in Camp
Valley of Flowers at Ghangharia.
Day
4: Ghangharia
– Hemkund
Sahib (14200 ft
asl) – Ghangharia
- Climb to Hemkund
Sahib is steep at places and will take about 3 - 4 hrs. Hemkund Sahib is a
popular Sikh Shrine built next to a lake. The lake is surrounded by
wild flowers. Pilgrims take a dip in the freezing cold waters of the lake.
Hot tea will be served in the Gurudwara (Shrine) before retracing steps to
Ghangharia. Overnight in
Camp Valley of Flowers at Ghangharia.

Day
5: Ghangharia
– Govindghat
– Badrinath
- Auli
Trek back to
Govindghat and from there drive for about an hour to reach the temple town
of Badrinath. Situated on the banks of Alaknanda and with the backdrop of
Neelkanth peak, an ancient temple with hot Sulphur water pools around,
Badrinath is a beautiful destination to visit besides its pilgrimage
significance (being one of the Char Dhaams). Return to Auli. Overnight at Himalayan Eco Lodge,
Auli.
Day
6: Auli
– Haridwar
- Early
morning after breakfast, drive to Haridwar (290kms/8hrs). Take overnight
train to Delhi or stay 1 night in transit at Rishikesh / Haridwar (Extra
cost applicable).
