Itinerary

Day 1 : Delhi - Sursingdhar (Drive/300 kms/8-9 hrs) - Drive from Delhi for the Himalayan Eco Lodge in Sursingdhar. Enroute you would pass the holy towns of Haridwar and Rishikesh, where you could stop depending on the time available. Arrival at the Eco lodge followed by check in. Relax for some time and you could also set off on a short walk in the surrounding forests. 

Day 2 : Sursingdhar - Wake up in the morning to views of the big Himalayan peaks, including India-s second highest peak, Nanda Devi. Post breakfast, set off on a drive to Dhanaulti and make a pitstop to visit the Eco Park, which is an initiative of the locals and the administration to create an eco friendly and green forest area. Return back to the lodge through the forests at Kanatal. Post lunch relax for some time and then set off for a session of Rappelling. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 : Sursingdhar - Kund (Drive/150 kms/5-6 hrs)
Post breakfast, depart for Himalayan Eco Lodge in Kund. Enroute you visit the Tehri Dam and Lake. Spend some time on the banks of the lake and and continue to Kund. This lodge is located on the banks of the River Mandakini and has a wonderful view of the snow clad Kedar peak. Once here relax on the banks of the river and towards evening drive up to the Ukhimath temple, the winter seat of the Kedarnath deity. Return to the lodge for bonfire and dinner.

Day 4 : Kund - Early morning set off on a Bird Watching trip with an expert. This area is rich in endemic bird species and you would get to see this wide variety in addition to more flora and fauna. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Post breakfast, drive up to Sari (45 mins) and from here trek up to the high altitude lake, Deoriatal. This lake is surrounded by thick forest and you get a panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks. The reflection of the Chaukhamba peak in the crystal clear waters of the lake is well worth travelling any distance to see!! Return trek and drive to the lodge for overnight stay.

Day 5 : Kund - Auli (Drive/110 kms/4-5 hrs)
After breakfast, begin the drive to Auli. Enroute stopover at Chopta which is described as the mini-Switzerland of India. This place is surrounded by undulating meadows and has a panoramic view of the big peaks of the Himalayas. Enjoy a hot cup of tea here and set off for Auli. Once in Auli you could admire the natural beauty of the place and the location of the lodge itself. Today you could relax at the lodge itself and also go across to Joshimath. In the night, bonfire and dinner at the lodge.

Day 6 : Auli
Today, you can go on a round trip to Badrinath and back. This trip would take 4-5 hrs and one could visit one of the most important temples for the Hindus and also visit some of the beautiful spots around this place including Mana, Vasundhara Falls, etc. In the evening return to the lodge for overnight stay.

After breakfast, trek up for 2-3 hrs to the high altitude meadows of Gurson. During this trek pass through the famed ski slopes of Auli that are considered among the best in Asia. All through the trek see the mighty peaks of the Himalayas (including Nanda Devi) that seem an arm-s length away. Spend some time in these serene setting and return to the lodge towards evening for overnight stay.

Day 7 : Auli - Jayalgarh (Drive/178 kms/5-6 hrs)
Early breakfast, depart for riverside camp in Jayalgarh, Camp High 5. Once you reach Jayalgarh check into deluxe tents and admire the beautiful view of the River Alaknanda. In the afternoon, set off for a rafting trip on this river during which you would also get to spend a lot of time Body Surfing in the cool waters of the river. You would also get to indulge in the exciting sport of Cliff Jumping. Once back in the camp after your rafting, relax for some time and then indulge in a game of beach volleyball or cricket. In the night, bonfire and dinner by the riverside.

Day 8 : Jayalgarh - Delhi (Drive/330 kms/9-10 hrs) - Post breakfast, depart for Delhi. Arrival in Delhi by 1800 hrs.
