UT/22 - A Week with the Himalayas - Ex-Dehradun / Haridwar

Route - Viraatkhai (2 nights) - Sursinghdar (2 nights) - Jayalgarh (3 night)

Overview - This is a soft adventure itinerary for guests covering a premium Himalayan hillside camp, a premium Himalayan eco lodge and a Himalayan riverside retreat. 

The stay locations are non-touristy, completely unexplored and perhaps unheard by most. Guests have an option to either just do nothing and be by the nature or explore a list of activities. Some of them area listed as under. There are more depending upon season:

• Trekking  (Soft treks half day or full day depending on preference and ability)

• Walks (Walks to nearest hilltop, view point, temple, village, forests etc.)

• Bird watching (Himalayan Birds, Migratory Birds) 

• Rafting (Jayalgarh has options for guests to opt for a white water rafting session)

• Group Activiites - Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Jumaring, Bridge Slithering, Valley Crossing 

• Overnight camping can be organised

Distances (Estimate 30 kms an hour for approximate time)

• Eco Lodge Sursingdhar (New Tehri - 6300 ft asl)

• Camp Room on the Roof (Viraatkhai, 25 kms from Chakrata - 6000 ft asl)

• Camp High 5 (2000 ft asl)

Above is Recommended for - Guests looking to be close to the Himalayas, at a non-touristy location and those looking to engage in an organised adventure activities without compromising basic stay comforts and overall accommodation experience. 

Season: Lodges are open all round the year. Dec and Jan which is cold for Sursingdhar and Viraatkhai, however Himalayan views are excellent during this period.
