Full Kumaon Itinerary- 8 nights / 9 days - Nainital (2)- Kausani(1)- Chakouri(2)-Munsyari(2)- Almora(1) 

This is a Winter itinerary to visit the entire Kumaon Area. Best time to visit is Oct-Nov or Feb-March. The entire itinerary is recommended for those who like nature and want to get the best of Himalayan Views.

Day 1:- Transfer from Kathgodam to Nainital (36 kms 1 hour). Sight seeing of Nainital. boating in Naini lake and visit to the holy Naina Devi temple , Naina peak, Snow view (cable car), Lands End etc. evening enjoy walk on mall. Overnight at Nainital. 

Day 2:- local sightseeing followed by trip to Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal & Sattal. Boating is available here. Overnight at Nainital. 

Day 3:- Transfer to kausani (145 kms, 5 hours). Evening relax. Overnight at hotel in Kausani. 

Day 4: Get up early to enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas (can become hazy later). Later transfer to Chakouri (70 kms, 2 – 3 hours) via Jageshwar . Ancient temples at Jageshwar. Overnight at Chakouri.

Day 5: Morning enjoy Himalayan views from chakouri and later visit Patal Bhubneshwar (36 kms, 1 hour). Overnight at Chakouri.

Day 6: Morning Transfer to Munsyari (100 kms, 4 hours). At Munsyari you come very close to the Himalayas . Breathtaking views all around. Overnight at Munsyari.

Day 7: Local sightseeing / trekking. Overnight at Munsyari.

Day 8: Morning transfer to almora (210 kms, 7 to 8 hours). Arrive late afternoon. Some local sightseeing or relax at the resort. Overnight at Almora

Day 9: Morning visit Binsar sanctuary and later transfer to Kathgodam for onward journey.  

Note: Himalayan Views are available only during Oct-March and thats why its the best time to visit this area (Even though its very cold during winter and generally considered off season for travel).

Access - Delhi Airport is an International Airport at about 280 kms (6 hours - 7 hours Drive) from Corbett and 325  kms from Nainital. Kathgodam is an overnight train journey from Delhi. Pantnagar at 50 kms from Corbett and 70 kms from Nainital also gets Flights from Jagson Airways from Delhi and can be used to cut down driving Time from Delhi.
