United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a constitutional federation of seven emirates; Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Qaiwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah. Among whom Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are now popular tourist and transit destinations with Fujairah fast developing into one.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are oil rich emirates and have developed themselves as an international shopping and leisure destination. Their national carriers compliment this strategy by provide global connectivity via Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah which attracts tourists to stay in transit for a couple of nights and make itineraries that include Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

Even Sharjah has Malls, boat rides and entertainment spots to hold tourist attention

Dubai leads this race among the three being now a major local trading and tourist attraction. Shopping malls, luxury hotels, Beach front luxury resorts, gravity defying skyscrapers, the desert landscape and a bustling nightlife, even though are man made wonders, have to some extend captured imagination of the world.

Events like Dubai Shopping Festival have been a major draw and a port of call / originating port for major cruise itineraries such as Costa Cruises. Due to lack of direct connectivity and competitive price structure by airlines operating out of UAE, a lot of destinations such as Seychelles and Mauritius often get accessed via UAE where guests opt for the additional benefit of getting to visit another destination in transit.
