Ex-Mumbai Train Getaways in and around Rajasthan

 

Following destinations are accessible from Mumbai by a train for a getaway.

Mount Abu which is the only Hill station in Rajasthan and accessible via convenient overnight trains to Abu Road (22 kms Mount Abu). On the Same route as Sawai Madhopur, Mathura, just outside the Rajasthan border is a well-visited pilgrimage destination for Lord Krishna devotees.  60 kms from Mathura is Agra, well known for the Taj Mahal and Bharatpur, a well known bird sanctuary known for its migratory bird population in winter.
