Ex-Bangalore Train Getaways in and around Kerala

 

Following destinations are accessible from Bangalore by a train for a getaway.

Ernakulam (Mainland Railway station for visiting Cochin) is an excellent base point to visit Cochin area and neighboring Alleppey backwaters / Marari Beach (75 kms) and Lakeside Resorts and Homestays in Kumarakom area. Kottayam / Alleppey is also a good point if idea is to visit only Kumarakom/Alleppey Area or Thekkady area (110 kms from Kottayam). From Cochin one can also visit Munnar (130 kms).
