Accommodation : Tapovan
has very spacious rooms with attached baths, clean beds, clean
bathrooms with running water (hot and cold), and even TV in
each room. The capacity is for 12 rooms including Four
regular rooms; Three deluxe rooms and Five
Air-conditioned Garden Suites. The rooms have high ceilings, wooden
beams and coat stands, a little sit-out for the rooms, with
wide window ledges and colonial style furniture.
The Retreat has Four A/C Garden Suites, Four Deluxe Rooms
(A/C / Non-A/C) and Three Semi Deluxe Rooms (Non A/C).
Meals - Tapovan has a
dining room serving delicious food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian
as per your preference After the scrumptious meals, right
from breakfast to dinner, one could settle down to a game
of rummy or badminton or go for long walks or just snooze!
Activites : The lawn in the
front has enough space for a good game of badminton or table
tennis. Or just hire a bicycle from the local shops and pedal
away to see the sights and sounds of Bordi!
Bordi is characterised by winding
roads fringed by the sea on one side, tall palms swaying in
the salty breeze, small and big houses fronted with lawns, bicycles
riding alone or with a pillion, friendly and curious children
watching you drive by.
Boardi beach is an unspoilt beach
with orchards heavy with chickoo around in plenty and miles
of winding road waiting to be explored, Bordi has still remained
a small village far cry from beach getaways such as Madh and
Gorai.

How to Reach Bordi
By
Rail - The nearest railway station for Bordi is Gholvad.
It is the immediate station after Dahanu Road. One
could take a train from Mumbai Central or even from Borivali.
From Gholvad it is only 2 kms. Plenty of auto rickshaws are
available. Ask them to take you to Tapovan Retreat at Vijay
Stumbh.
By Road - From the Bandra
Flyover in Mumbai the distance is about 160 kms approx. Just
take N.H. # 8 from Bandra and proceed through Dahisar and pass
Manor to reach the intersection at Charoti. At this
intersection, you turn left and proceed to Dahanu. You then
cross the Railway Flyover at Dahanu and turn left and reach Par
Naka. From Par Naka you turn right and take the sea front
road which will take you straight to Bordi via Gholvad. Enjoy
the picturesque drive to Bordi. The smell of the sea and it's
taste on your lips makes you immediately want to get out and
go for a long walk along the beach. Tapovan Retreat is located
opposite the Vijay Stumbh at Bordi.
