Itinerary- Bangalore - Mysore - Bandipur - Ooty (Ex-Bangalore / Ex-Coimbatore / Ex-Calicut)

This is a short-break Tourist Itinerary for visiting Bangalore, Mysore and Ooty. This is an extended version of a very popular summer circuit that was preferred by tourists earlier. 

Day 1 - Arrive in Bangalore and Rest of the Day visit local monuments..
Day 2 - Proceed to Mysore. Spend rest of the day visiting Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills and evening visit to Vrindavan Gardens and Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary (Boat ride around bird nests).
Day 3 - Proceed to Bandipur (100 kms - 2 hours). Bandipur is known for its thick forests and wildlife sightings including Tiger. Safari in the afternoon / evening.
Day 4 - Leave after Morning Safari to Ooty (55 kms).
Day 5 to Day 7-  Spend 3 nights in Ooty (Hill Station at 7500 ft). Relax, enjoy good weather and do local sightseeing.
Day 8 - Proceed back to Bangalore or Coimbatore.

Extensions

• Wayanad - North Kerala (Known for its Tropical rainforests, Plantations and a pleasant climate) can be considered as a Popular Extention at just 120 kms from Ooty. Here Calicut is the point where you can exit and return. If you want to enjoy a beach retreat a the end of the stay then Kappad Beach near Calicut can be considered for further 1 night or 2 night stay.

• Kodaikanal (Hill Station at 7000 ft) - While Kodai is 265 kms from Ooty, Ooty-Kodai combination is still visited in Summer. Considering the distance, at least 3 nights extention should be considered for Kodaikanal Extention. 

Access - Cochin (Gets daily flights from all major destinations of India and Gulf Countries). Ernakulam a major railhead on the Konkan Rail / Southern Rail Route.
