Corbett is a renowned national park at about 250-280 kms from Delhi and one that offers one of the best park experiences in India. Corbett is known for Bird watching, Wildlife (Including Tigers), nature walks / trekking and Trout / Mahaseer Fishing. There are very few Jungle lodges residing inside park boundaries that offer a “real” park experience as compared to host of other jungle lodges and getaway resort that are built on the periphery.
Hideaway River Lodge-Best option inside the Park. 2 nights minimum to experience it and 3 nights are recommended. Guests report at Corbett Hideaway Lodge and are take from there inside the park. Activities here comprise Angling, Elephant Safari, Jeep Safari, Bird Watching (400+ species), Village Walk, Natural Pool
Dhikala Rest Houses-Dhikala range is the best and one that offers the best wildlife experience in Corbett. Dhikala range has only Forest Rest houses (FRH). Dhikala range is open from Nov 15th-early June. FRH offers very simple stays and an experience of staying right in the middle of the forest.
Riverine Woods-Essentially a Fishing lodge. Riverine woods is as simple and back to basic as it can get. Limited electricity, few cottages and a riverside that’s excellent for fishing. Recommended for those anglers.
Corbett Jungle Hideaway-This is a private getaway inside an area called “Sitabani”. Sitabani is not technically a range and not even considered part of the main Corbett area and therefore accessible all through the day. Area is full of bird life and wildife and therefore an excellent choice for small groups looking for an “Inside Park” experience.
