What is
SMS (Text Message) an Enquiry system?
This is an alternative system for customers to enquire for travel
reservations as against a Physical call or an email. Response time would be
similar to an email enquiry and depend on what time of the day the SMS is sent.
e.g. An SMS sent at 11 AM may get replied before 2 PM but one that is sent
after 6 PM may get replied the next day before 11 AM.
How to
SMS (Text Message) an Enquiry (For Cellphones within India) ?
Please SMS to 56677. The message content should start from
"Travel" and then give an Indication of nature of enquiry. e.g. Travel
Ooty - 12-15th Aug would be enough to indicate that you wish to travel to Ooty
for the given dates and need reservations. However if you specifically wish to
reserve in Taj Savoy Ooty for 12-15th August then you can also text the message
as "Travel Taj Savoy - 12-15th Aug". Please restrict SMS content to
Text only. Please leave a space after "Travel" for the system to
recognise the message.
How would SMS Enquiry be replied?
If you don't leave any alternative Tel no or email address then our
reservation assistant would give you a call on the Cell No. using which you sent
the SMS. SMS enquiry would be replied during working hours (9:30 AM to 6 PM on
weekdays and 9:30 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays). SMS enquiry would be handled the same way as other emails or Telephone
enquiries. Please read our Privacy Policy for
details.
How to
SMS an Enquiry (For Cellphones outside India) ? Sorry Cannot send SMS
(Text messages) from outside India. However emails will be replied promptly
using this system.
What if someone calls on the Numbers listed for SMS?
56677 is a short code service and not a telephone number where anyone can
call..
Can this number be used as Emergency Helpline Numbers for guests who have
already made reservations with Nivalink? All reservations confirmations come
with a helpline numbers based on sectors a guest is visiting. However in absence
of any helpline number, these can be used for any urgent attention.
What if you dont get a reply for SMS Sent for more than 24 hours? email
to feedback@nivalink.co.in and one of
the senior personnel would attend to it on a priority basis.
Would
it be ok for Trade Partners and other service Providers to SMS? Yes. It is
ok it it is in relation to an existing reservation. Any unsolicited, unrelated
and unwanted SMSes would be straightaway deleted / ignored.
How
does it work? Short Code (56677) based text messages are accessed using a web based interface by
Nivalink Team. Upon sending the message you get a confirmation SMS. In case
of you not getting a confirmation SMS you will get a failure message. Typical
reason for failure is not leaving a space after keyword "Travel" or
leaving an additional space before the keyword "Travel". Size of
the message can be anything upto 150 characters. Does
