PINJORE (10 km): Parwanoo is an excellent base to visit the famous Mughal style garden at Pinjore.

DAGSHAI (28 km): A one time British cantonment this small town is surrounded by pine trees. It has an old church.

By Road : Towards Shimla (85 kms from Parwanoo) ) on the National Highway 35 kms from Chandigarh.  

Parwanoo used to be a favorite stopover on the Shimla-Manali Itinerary when accessed from Delhi . However due to better roads (and therefore lesser time taken), guests prefer Bilaspur or Mandi as a stopover while going from Delhi but still prefer Parwanoo on their way back.
