By Air: Jaisalmer has an airport but the flights are withdrawn during summer months. Please confirm the availability of flights well in advance.

By Rail: Jaisalmer is connected to Jodhpur by a metre gauge line via Pokhran and Phalodi, on two train services, one a passenger and the other an express. It is an overnight journey through some of the remotest, most desolate parts of Rajasthan, with stations far and few in between.

By Road: Jaisalmer is connected by good roads to Jodhpur (305 km) Bikaner via Pokran (330 km) and Barmer via Devikot (153 km). Rajasthan Roadways buses connect Jaisalmer with important towns like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Barmer. Rajasthan Tourism runs a coach service between Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. Deluxe services are also being run by RTDC and Rajasthan Roadways to important towns.
