Variations / Off the Beaten Track
  • Bharatpur (60 kms from Agra) can be considered as a relaxing and peaceful alternative to more touristy Agra and monuments of Agra can still be covered from a day visit from Bharatpur.

  • An activity oriented rural retreat near Jodhpur like Rohetgarh or Chanwa Luni can be opted for an experience oriented (Village Visits, Horse Safari, Jeep Rides), off-beat itinerary

  • Skip Bikaner and Jaisalmer, instead add nights at Khimsar Fort OR Khimsar Sand Dunes

  • Given additional one or two nights, monuments in Delhi can be covered.

  • Given additional one or two nights, Mount Abu (Hill Station) can be visited at the end and then one can either take a train from Abu Road back to Mumbai/Delhi or Flight from Ahmedabad (220 kms) or Udaipur (180 kms).

  • If idea is to exit eventually from Ahmedabad then Udaibilas Palace Dungarpur can be considered for a relaxing getaway for a couple of days after the hectic itinerary.

  • To avoid Bikaner all together, guests split their Jodhpur stays in two parts, on either side of the Jaisalmer stay.

Recommended Accommodation Options - Agra - Jaipur - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Bikaner - Udaipur - Abu
