Udai
Bilas Palace
, Dugarpur - Udai Bilas Palace is a round-the-year paradise for bird watchers. The cooler months from November to February are the best to see winter migratory birds and the monsoon season, from July to October, is the nesting season when birds can be observed in attractive plumages. One can see from the Palace itself at remarkably close range egrets, night and pond herons, white necked and painted storks, coots and winter or resident ducks among others, depending on the season of your visit.

Birds are also plentiful in the woodlands where one can hope to see the Grey Hornbill, Grey Partridge, Green Pigeon, Peafowl, Paradise fly-catcher and the Golden backed woodpecker, to name a few representative species. Saras Cranes and Wading birds are abundant at marshes en-route from Udai Bilas Palace to Old Palace ( 4 kms). Nature lovers are welcome to spend hours rowing on the lake or trekking in the forest to get a close look at the birdlife. Bird-watching trips can also be arranged to nearby lakes

Jaisamand Island Resort, Jaisamand - Jaisamand Island Resort in middle of the Jaisamand Lake provides a panaromic view of the picturesque surroundings. The lake ringed with undulating aravalis transports one into pristine, chaste natural beauty. To add to this there is game sanctuary over and area of 45 sq kms that houses panthers, spotted dears, sambhars and large variety of migratory birds.

Shahpura Bagh, Shahpura- Shahpura Bagh is a 30-acre heritage estate (1630 AD) Situated midway between Jaipur and Udaipur . This was a summer residence of the rulers of Shahpura and now a fine heritage hotel. Estate is surrounded by lakes, greenery and is ideal for those seeking some activities and also for those looking for pure relaxation.  Wetlands around the area (Nahar Sagar, Umaid Sagar and the Arvardh Dam, along with 250 small lakes form haven for Birding.

Deogarh Mahal, Deogarh - Deogarh Mahal is an imposing structure built in the 17th century. It stands atop a hill and offers a commanding view of the Aravalli mountain range and the numerous lakes, strewn across the countryside. Here you can go for Bird watching (near the lakes) with an expert

Sardar Samand Palace, Dist Pali - Sardar Samand Palace is a heritage Hotel located at Only 55 km away from Jodhpur, is a perfect getaway holiday resort. It is a superb Art Deco hunting lodge built by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1933. All the original features have been retained and its expansive grounds and gardens offer delightful walks. Overlooking the large lake teeming with birdlife, the lake resort affords one of the most breathtakingly beautiful views of Lake Sardar Samand.

Lal Niwas, Phalodi - A Bird watching tour in Rajasthan is not complete without a visit to Khichan; a village situated 130 kms from Jodhpur and 5 kms from Phalodi. Khichan is a natural sanctuary to the bird Kurjan. Known to the Indian Bird watching connoisseurs as Kurjan, Karkara and Kunch, these cranes belong to South Western Europe , Black sea , Poland , Ukraine , Kazakhstan , North and South Africa and Mongolia .

Mirvana Nature Resort, Sodakore - Sodakore is a destination for several domestic bird species during the winter season. It is a classic habitat for the Great Indian Bustards, which are an endangered species. Some major fauna present are the Desert Fox, Desert Cat, antelope species, like the Chinkara and Blue Bull.

Gajner Palace near Bikaner- The Palace now has a private wildlife sanctuary, which is home to endangered antelopes like the chinkara, black buck, neelgai and other animals. During winter months, the lake becomes home to more than a hundred species of migratory birds, including the Imperial Sand Grouse.

Sariska Palace, Sariska - Sariska National Park has rich wealth of fauna which include mainly the leopard, several species of deer, porcupine, etc. It is home to an exotic variety of birds.

Tigermoon, Ranthambhore – Ranthambhore hosts a multitude of wild animals, the park boasts of playing host to tigers, leopards, the elusive caracals, striped hyenas, sloth bears, jungle cats, wild boars, crocodiles and so on. Besides, there are over 300 species of birds, from the rare Indian Courser to the beautiful Painted Sand Grouse.
