Willdlife / Birding Itinerary- Ranthambhore - Bharatpur (3 nights) with Chambal Safari Lodge Extension

This is a short-break tourist itinerary for North India  that covers two major wildlife destinations in Ranthambhore (Tigers) and Bharatpur (Migratory Birds) with a possible extension to visit Chambal Safari Lodge (Gangetic Dolphins, Birds and Crocodiles). Travel in this itinerary is ideally to be done by train. 

Day 1 - From Delhi - Sawai Madhopur (12 kms from Ranthambhore). Reach by Afternoon (by Train). Visit the Park in the Evening (Canter Safari).
Day 2 - Visit the Park in the Morning and evening (Canter Safari).
Day 3 - Leave early morning. From Sawai Madhopur - Bharatpur (By Train). Full Day Park Visit at Bharatpur sighting Migratory birds.
Day 4 - Take a train from Bharatpur to Delhi.

• Chambal Safari Lodge at 80 kms South of Agra is an exciting destination for spotting Crocodiles, Gangetic Dolphins and Migratory Birds.

• For a full Birding experience at Bharatpur, at least two nights are recommeded. Therefore additional night can be spent for better experience. 

Recommended Accommodation Options - Sawai Madhopur - Bharatpur

Access - 2904 Golden Temple Mail from Delhi-Sawai Madhopur is an Ideal train (6 hours). From Sawai Madhopur to Bharatpur, 2059 Kota Janashatabdi is a good train (2 hours). For Bharatpur to Delhi also 2059 Kota Janashatabdi is recommended (3 hours). For Agra - Delhi 2279 Taj Express is recommended (3 hours).
