Jodhpur - Mount Abu (4
nights)
with Udaipur Extension (2 nights) |

This is a short-break
tourist itinerary for Rajasthan that covers two major destinations Jodhpur (Forts
and Palaces) and Mount Abu (Hill Station). This Itinerary is planned considering
access by Train at both ends. |

Day 1
- Arrive in Jodhpur. Visit to Mandore Gardens, Balsamand
Lake and local markets in the evening.
Day 2 - Full day sightseeing
covering Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace and Jaswant Thada. Time Permitting
Visit Bishnoi Village at the Outskirts.
Day 3 - Proceed
to Mount Abu (260 kms - 5 hours). Visit Ranakpur Temple and Ambaji Temple (22
kms off Abu Road) enorute.
Day 4 - Half Day Sightseeing. Visit Gurushikhar,
Dilwara Temple and do Boating in Nakki Lake. Relax for rest of the Day.
Day
5 - Proceed back to Ahmedabad (220 kms) or Take a train from Abu Road (22
kms)

- Jodhpur gets flights from Mumbai and Delhi. There are daily overnight
trains to Jodhpur from Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Delhi. From Abu Road you can get
overnight trains to Mumbai. Nearest Flight access from Mount Abu is either Udaipur
or Ahmedabad. |
