Mount Abu is the only Hill Station in Rajasthan at 5000 ft above sea level. It is also a weekend getaway from Ahmedabad.  

Nakki lake here stands in the centre with hills around. Guests here do boating. Abu is also known for Dilwara Jain temples, Guru Shikhar, Brahmakumari Ashram. Ambaji temple is about 50 kms away. Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary is good for birding.

Typical Stay - 1 or 2 nights.  Seasonality : Visited all round the year. Dec, Jan it gets really cold.

Access : Ahmedabad (210 kms) and Udaipur (180 kms) are nearest Airports. Abu Road Station (22 kms) is the nearest railhead that gets overnight trains from Mumbai and regular trains on the Jdohpur / Ajmer Route. 

Types and Locations for accommodation options in Mount Abu

There are number of heritage hotels in Mount Abu, Bikaner House (Palace Hotel) is the best hotel here at about a km from the town centre. Its a summer palace of Bikaner royal family and a sprawling estate

Cama Rajputana, part of a colonial era club and therefore good in terms of amenities (swimming pool) and therefore excellent getaway resort for corporate groups, individuals and families.

Hotel Hillock is the best modern hotel in the town and therefore recommended for corporate conferences. Palanpur Palace is a heritage type resort that is more suited for corporate groups. 

Just 7 kms before Abu is Ratan Villas. A nature resort surrounded by Mount Abu Wildlife sanctuary. While the hotels and resorts in the town cater to touristy segment this is ideal for groups and guests looking to explore nature.
