Kathmandu

Kathmandu (4500 ft) is Nepal's largest city and the International airport. It boasts of Casinos, nightclubs and is a gateway to other destinations in Nepal Such as Pokhra, Chitwan, Jomsom etc. Around Kathmandu there are excellent getaway resort options in places like Nagarkot and Dhulikhel. Kathmandu is also home to the famous Pashupatinath Temple, a Shiva temple considered to be one of the most important alongwith Jyotirlingas

Old cities of Bhaktapur and Patan are enlisted by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage sites are located at a short driving distance from Kathmandu..

Pokhara

Pokhara (4000 ft) is a scenic town 198 kms from Kathmandu accessible via a short flight. In no other place do mountains rise so quickly. In this area, within 30 km, the elevation rises from 1000 m to over 8000 m. Lake in Pokhara and surrounding himalauan views are the main attractions. Pokhara is also base for trekking around the area.

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan is the Tiger Country where rare population of Royal Bengal Tiger can be sighted. However its a park that can be visited for the sheer park experience on part with Corbett, Kanha and Nagarhole in neighboring India.

The Chitwan National Park is home to at least 43 species of mammals, 450 species of birds, and 45 species of amphibians and reptiles.

Jomsom

Jomsom, (8300 ft  is important for its strategic position along the popular Around Annapurna (Circuit) Trek route. Its also visited as a base for visiting nearby Muktinathdham Temple.

It is accessible via a short flight from Pokhara. The best months are September, October & November during the Autumn season March, April & May.   [Hotels]

Janakpurdham

It is situated to the southern Terai of, Nepal. This holy city is located approximately 400 KM south-east of Kathmandu and just a 22 KM from Sitamahri, the nearest Indian border. The city is centre of the ancient Maithili culture with its own language and script. Janakpur also is the birthplace of lord Sita goddess (also called Janaki), the main female character of the Ramayana epos and it is the site of her wedding with Rama, a Hindu God.

Lumbini

Buddhists, this is one of the four main pilgrimage sites based around the life of Gautama Buddha, the other three being Kushinagar, Bodh Gaya, and Sarnath.

Daman

For those seeking the ultimate panoramic Himalayan view, Daman is the place to visit. Located approx 80kms southwest of the Kathmandu valley, Daman (2,400m) offers the only unimpeded view of the entire Himalayan range – roughly 400kms of Himalayan panorama. Daman is located on the Tribhuvan Highway between Kathmandu and the town of Hetauda. A walk around the surrounding area or a lounging on the one of the resort here is just a different experience in itself. Rock climbing, cycling, hiking are few of the many activities possible here. There are couple of accommodation option for a comfortable stay.

Manakamana

Manakamana is a Hindu Pilgrimage centre and a mid-way point enroute from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
