Mahindra Homestay Krish Rauni Resort / Homestay is one of the most beautiful abode situated in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh (India), the homestay in Matiana is at a height of about 8,000 feet from the sea level. It is about 45 kilometers ahead of Shimla, bypassing Sanjauli, Kufri, Fagu and Theog-on way to Narkanda which is some 15 kilometers ahead of the homestay.

Constructed on the edge of an uphill, where it faces the panoramic valley, changing many shades of color and depth of far-off mountains with the rising and setting sun. 

The host - Mr. Kishore, is staying in the homestay with his wife Shobhna. After many years of professional work, Mr. Kishore decided to get settled in his father's home in Matiana, where he loves to take care of his home and the Apple Orchard around the house. 

Kishore takes immense satisfaction in taking care of his guests and in making them feel at home. His warm and generous nature influence many interesting conversations on life, local lifestyle, current affairs, etc., while enjoying morning breakfast on the terrace or while sipping the evening tea. Shobhna, on the other hand makes sure that the guest is served the best cuisine of his/her choice by working with the locally employed staff from the village. Being an amazing cook, she makes sure that the guests taste both regional and other wise popular specialty dishes.

The Homestay - The house is well-maintained to provide for a comfortable stay in the usually cold weather. All the rooms are spacious, rugged and tastefully draped to provide for maximum comfort, with modernly equipped attached bathrooms. The main attraction of the homestay is its huge terrace which gives a wide view of the valley around. It has a seating arrangement with chairs and sun-block umbrellas where one can bask in the morning sun or gaze at the clear sky full of stars at night. Another interesting area of the homestay is the recreation room, where one can indulge in indoor games like, table tennis and carom, or just pick up a book for quick reading from the mini-library.
